Hello!

1 min read
I've been playing a lot more on my PS3 lately. And have you guys seen how many awesome games will be released this year? Starting today with DMC. I need to sell some paintings to buy some games.

And yes, I'm working hard, or hardly working. Although, I'd rather, actually stick to a motto that works best for me:
'Work hard. Play hard.'

P.S. Have a happy new year!

Yeah, I got in. Amazing, right?

I'm officially attending The National University of Arts in Bucharest, majoring in Painting. :D

Which means I have access to a proper studio and I will post more stuff around here.

Hey,
Just a small entry to let people know what I'm doing.
Today is my second day of training at EA. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be employed in a similar position to the one I had before, only better (if you think of the projects) or worse ( if you think of the money). Starting next week I'll be on the night shift which is good for various reasons like, I'm really not a morning person, and I really can't be at work at 9 a.m on a daily basis. I'm a night owl and I need the morning to sleep. I also kinda need natural light for obvious reasons and in August I'll be attending a month long course for prepare for the admittance exam at UnArte. Also, free cab rides at 2 A.M in the big city might be my favorite things ever. So, working the night shift has it's obvious advantages.
But enough of job related stuff, I'm almost no longer unemployed and that's what's important.

Regarding my paintings, I just finished 2 a few days ago, one of them being already hanged in my kitchen. I have 4 blank canvases and I have plans for them all and 6 WIPs most of which I think I already shared. I have a high priority project right now that involves some damn flowers I can't paint so I have to buy the flowers and study them or take pics or something because I was unable to find suitable reference pic. I'm still not quite sure what to do with that painting, if I want it to be a simple flowers painting or if it should be a portrait with a flower in her hair. I'll see.
I have two other portrait request from friends. (One of them is particularly amusing). I'll make them buy the canvas and an additional artist fee depending on how well the work turns out.
There's another WIP that I have to finish mostly because another friend asked if she can have it and I kind of said yes.

I just started watching True Blood, so now I kind of want an oldschool portrait of Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) for myself.

And that's about it. I have lots of work to do. Wish me good luck.

My life's been a bit... interesting in the last month.

I set up a little atelier space in my flat so I can start working with traditional mediums again.
I have several canvases waiting to be painted and a few ideas for new pieces floating around my head. So expect some updates.

I did go to a Lara Fabian concert last week. I think that was the most amazing experience I've had in my life. She is such a talented and passionate singer that you are just amazed. It was an honor to see her live. She's one of those role models that I have artistically even though our crafts are different, hearing her talk about her struggles as a young artist really struck home. Beautiful human being all around.

So, of course after such an experience I became somewhat inspired and I hope that will materialize over the next few months.

I'm also unemployed at the moment which is a bliss to be honest. It's awesome to spend your days in your tiny atelier.

That's about all. I'm alive. Expect more. :D

Hey guys!
I'm sorry this page is so empty at the moment. Hopefully there's gonna be something more to see around here by the end of the month.
I've recently tried to go digital, despite my preference for traditional mediums. I was forced by the lack of space for a studio and/or lack of time to go to a real studio. Besides, digital means no stains on the carpet/ wall which means less bitching from Mum when she decides to come over.
I just ordered a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet (after spending a week of 4 hours night's sleep trying to learn Painter 12 with a TrackPad). So, basically until the "baby" arrives I'm stuck with doing charcoal studies of geometrical objects. I'll upload some scraps. Just to give you something to look at. The pics are taken with my phone and are.. well.. a bit shit. I wish that I could say the works look better on paper...but, they don't really. Anyways...
Have a nice day and hope you visit again soon! :)
